You can now compose threads with multiple posts before posting. Just start your first post, and after you type something, you’ll see the plus button appear below. Press the button, and you can type your next post.

Pros:

1.Start easily: “Starter Pack” feature will lead you to find interesting content right out of the gate.

2.Advanced moderation tools: Bluesky designs ample tools to flag content that violates community guidelines and allows users to create their own independent moderation services.

3.Less misinformation: if a user shares a link that doesn't match the text in a post, the "possibly misleading" tag will be flagged as an alert.

Cons:

1.Risk of missing notifications: only one notification is allowed at a time, which means the previous notification disappears as soon as a new one arrives.

2.No support for customized GIFs: users cannot upload GIFs from their own files.

3.Lack of iPad support: some users reported the app cannot deal with landscape orientation.

Is Bluesky an alternative to Twitter?

For people who want to be free from divisible politics and algorithmic control, Bluesky is an alternative. Bluesky’s layout and functionality are very similar to X’s traditional format, but Bluesky features decentralization and customizable algorithms.

How to create custom feeds on Bluesky?

No coding knowledge required. You are allowed to subscribe to multiple different algorithms that show different types of posts. You can pin custom feeds to the top of your timeline as different tabs for you to choose from. Under “My Feeds” menu, you can find your custom feeds.

Can I go private on Bluesky?

Currently, Bluesky does not provide such a feature implemented, so it is not possible to make your profile private. Many users complained about this defect, but due to the technical architecture, it could be that it won’t even be possible in the future.
