February 17, 2022: New filters: Search chips
Google Drive has rolled out a new feature called Search chips, which will make it easier for users to search for files in Google Drive. You can use search chips by entering a keyword in Drive’s search bar. And below the search bar, six different dropdown menus are shown: Location, File Type, People, Last Modified, Title only and To do. Selecting from these menus will filter your search results accordingly.
This new feature is now available to all Workspace users, including G Suite Basic and Business users.
Sep 18, 2020: Delete After 30 Days
Starting on October 13th, files in trash will automatically delete after 30 days. Prior to this change, Google Drive would keep all the files in trash permanently unless you go in and delete them manually.
