MEET THE MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS BEHIND DEFEAT DIABETES
Dr. Peter Brukner OAM – Previously the Chief Medical Officer for the Australian Cricket Team, Liverpool FC, Melbourne and Collingwood AFL clubs, the Socceroos and the National Olympic Athletics Team, Dr. Brukner founded Defeat Diabetes as a result of his personal experience putting his pre-diabetes into remission through a low carb lifestyle. He is the Chairman and founder of charity SugarbyHalf and is a Professor of Sports Medicine at La Trobe University.
Dr. Paul Mason - A Sports Medicine and Exercise Physician, Paul also holds degrees in Physiotherapy and Occupational Health, and is internationally recognised in the field of low carb nutrition. His approach has been successfully utilised to manage chronic illness with a diverse range of patients, including elite athletes.
Nicole Moore, Mast. Nutrition APD - Nicole provides low carb nutritional dietetic services to people across Australia. For more than 20 years Nicole has taught people how to reverse diabetes.
Dr. James Muecke - Australian of the Year 2020, Dr. Muecke is an eye surgeon who has devoted much of his career to preventing blindness caused by diabetes.
