Deuteronomy - 11:2 Meaning

ADS-1

“And know ye this day: for I speak not with your children which have not known, and which have not seen the chastisement of the LORD your God, his greatness, his mighty hand, and his stretched out arm,”

King James Version (KJV)

ADS-2

Matthew Henry's Concise Commentary

11:1-7 Observe the connexion of these two; Thou shalt love the Lord, and keep his charge. Love will work in obedience, and that only is acceptable obedience which flows from a principle of love, 1Jo 5:3. Moses recounts some of the great and terrible works of God which their eyes had seen. What our eyes have seen, especially in our early days, should affect us, and make us better long afterwards.

ADS-3

“And he answered, Fear not: for they that be with us are more than they that be with them.”
